Moira is responsible for:

• Managing memberships, sorting out licenses and directing queries to the right person
• Taking minutes (for my sins)
• Oversees the time trial and training run co-ordinators
• Drinking at the bar

Getting to know a little more about Moira:

• How long have you been  a runner?
  Two and a half years which is still something I am surprised by. Mark Tolsma never lets me forget my response when asked when I am going to start running., “ I will never run” was what I said.
   
• What has been your favourite race so far and why?
  I love running trail and my first Hell Run in 2009 was one of the best. Imagine running at midnight with only the moon and a headlight to guide you, the only sound your footsteps on the path and your breathing. Time to think, time to wonder at the stillness of the night, time to challenge yourself  and finally to conquer the hill.
   
• What are you planning to do this year?
  The African X three day trail run is a definite as we never got to finish last year due to the weather gods and if all goes well I would like to do Puffer this year as well.
   
• Tell us something about yourself that few people know.
  I start to panic if I don’t have a book to read and at least three more lined up for future reading.
