Steve is responsible for:

• Being Club Captain and Club Manager Liaison
• Open and closing the club for TT
• Setting up the gazebo at races
• ...and doing all the odd jobs that no-one else wants to do.

Getting to know a little more about Steve:

• How long have you been  a runner?
  I have not run for some time but busy getting back into it. No major road races entered, I actually joined for the cheap beer!
   
• What has been your favourite race so far and why?
  My first 5km time trial was attempted recently (March 2011) after not running since the mid 1980s. I used to join Fish Hoek Running Club when they used to run a 4.5km route from the Civic Centre.
   
• What are you planning to do this year?
  To hopefully better my first time trial every week. I only wish I knew what it was as the time keeper had already left and the club was locked up when I finished.
   
• Tell us something about yourself that few people know.
  I have played most sports in my life but have never mastered one. A keen yatchsman in my younger years and played competitive rugby for False Bay amongst others. I enjoy the club environment and the family atmosphere it lends itself to as well as community involvement. I have also served on the Sunny Dale Ratepayers Association. Currently I am also the club manager for the Masi Puma’s Rugby teams. I absolutely hate warm beer…for what it’s worth!
